Fitness for a Cause: Race for a Cure
by Amy Welch
As cooler weather approaches, there are more opportunities to workout for reasons beyond you. When your end goal is to bike or run in honor or memory of someone, you may be able to find that motivation you’ve not enjoyed before.
Here in the Lowcountry, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K on Daniel Island is an enjoyable race with beautiful scenery and an amazing cause. Listed below are local bike rides and road races for great causes that may help you get out the door and start pounding the pavement! And if one of these causes have a special place in your heart, form a team, get some other moms out there to run with you, and raise money for a cure!
