NewbyMom.com is an online magazine with articles specifically written with you in mind.  Eight moms joined forces to bring you a host of local resources that will simplify any moms life.  The best part is it's locally run, so now you can search for doctors and childcare by zip-code, buy/sell used goods in our marketplace and chat with other local moms.

What makes it different from other mom sites?

What separates NewbyMom.com from national mom-sites is the ability to "go local."  Because there is a team of dedicated moms in the area writing and managing the website, we have the unique ability to offer needed local resources right at your fingertips.  We're different from other local mom sites, in that we compile resources already available in the community and put them right in one place.  We're also 100% owned and run by professional moms.  Many parenting and mommy websites and magazines are owned by larger conglomerates.  We believe as mothers, we know what other moms need and we work to make that happen.

How is NewbyMom.com funded?

NewbyMom.com is primarily funded through advertisements approved by the team.  Advertisers have to meet our standard of empowering moms to be accepted as advertisers.  Products and businesses must be family friendly and match our mission to serve the community.  NewbyMom.com also has a shopping area where moms can buy mom-approved products.  A portion of each sale goes toward the mission to spread NewbyMom.com to other regions.

What does the website name mean?

NewbyMom.com was started by a new mom who felt there weren't enough online resources at the community level.  So, it simply means "New Mom."  However, some people read it as "New By Mom" which is also true - everything on the website is created "new" by moms!
